The latest in Hong Kong-based duo Salt of the Sound’s ‘Lent’ collections, Vol. 3 features an original track (Kyrie Eleison) alongside two traditional hymns, all recorded and produced in their signature ambient worship style.
For All The Moments In Between (2023) is a collection of songs inspired by the full experience of the human condition – through the emotions of joy and grief, during times of elation and loss, and in all the moments in between. Stemming from one of the most challenging yet simultaneously life-giving seasons of the duo’s lives, the music aims to capture the beauty and wholeness that emerges from the everyday.

Before the Stars Have Left the Skies is a winter-inspired ambient journey from Dear Gravity and Salt of the Sound. Featuring ethereal vocals that hint at traditional Christmas melodies, and atmospheric soundscapes with neoclassical touches, the EP aims to evoke the warm, nostalgic feeling of sitting by a fire while watching the vast expanse of the night sky overhead.
Following on from our 2021 Hymns for Eventide EP, this new collection of hymns is reimagined in an organic-yet-meditative style, featuring ethereal vocals, acoustic cello, and ambient soundscapes crafted from tongue drum tones.

Vol. 5 is the latest instalment in Salt Of The Sound’s ongoing instrumental compilation series, Meditations. And on Earth, Peace is the new Christmas-themed release from critically acclaimed husband and wife duo Salt of the Sound (Anita & Ben Tatlow). Following in the footsteps of their first Advent EP, Waiting for the Dawn (2016), which was described by New Release Today as “some serious peace in audio form,” this new collection of music features a blend of original and traditional music produced in the duo’s signature ambient sound.
And on Earth, Peace invites the listener to encounter the Christmas message of hope and peace in the context of contemporary city life. Using samples and sounds recorded in Hong Kong, the city where Anita & Ben are based, this release is an evolution of the duo’s sound and aims to breathe new life into ancient and modern Christmas music.
Chosen by Christianity Today as one of their favourite five Christmas releases of 2019, they write that the album is a “play on sound, poetry, and Scripture to mesmerizing effect.”
Beyond Here is the third album from critically acclaimed husband and wife duo Salt of the Sound. The third instalment in their ‘Meditations’ series, Vol. 3 is a special compilation of reflective instrumental music from Salt Of The Sound. The album comprises ten tracks, including instrumental versions of songs from their latest releases and adaptations of tracks by sister projects Narrow Skies and Antarctic Wastelands.
Salt Of The Sound continue to foster a spirit of reflection and contemplation through their new three-track release, Lent, Vol. 1. Featuring the classic hymns ‘I Need Thee Every Hour’ and ‘It Is Well With My Soul’ in their signature ambient style, alongside an original song ‘Lamb Of God’, the EP invites listeners to meditate on the Lenten themes of sacrifice, forgiveness, and reliance on God.
In Prayer is the 2017 EP from award-winning husband and wife duo Anita & Ben Tatlow (Salt Of The Sound). A 17-minute prayer ‘journey’, the music ebbs and flows, inviting the listener to stillness and reflection through use of expansive atmospheric textures, subtle vocal choruses, and thoughtful lyrical messages.

Salt Of The Sound’s 2016 EP Waiting For The Dawn centres around the theme of light, which is echoed in different ways across all of the songs, and features heavily in the Advent traditions of Nordic countries. Waiting For The Dawn combines these Scandinavian influences with an focus on natural soundscapes, as well as featuring the blend of electronic synths and vocal harmonies that the duo have become known for.

Echoes Of Wonder is Salt of the Sound’s most personal release to date, reflecting on the amazing and unexpected ways that God works through different life situations: Echoes Of Wonder continues the unique blend of electronic synths, subtle vocal harmonies, and thoughtful lyrical messages that Salt Of The Sound have become known for, while also incorporating a renewed focus on organic sounds and evolving atmospheres.

Through The Mist is the 2014 EP from husband and wife duo Salt Of The Sound: the concept and inspiration behind the new EP comes from a verse in 1 Corinthians:

Meditations, Vol. 1 is a special compilation of reflective tracks from Salt Of The Sound. The selection comprises ten instrumental versions of songs from the first year of the duo’s output, including from their critically acclaimed album Journeys, as well as from their more recent EP Through The Mist.
Released in November 2013, Journeys is the debut album from Salt Of The Sound. 11 beautifully crafted songs for reflection and meditation.
Described as “like a tranquil place where someone finds rest,” Journeys was given a 5/5 star review on CMAddict, while Cross Rhythms conclude their review by saying Journeys is a “delightfully ethereal and unquestionably strong first album.”
